If you’ve found your way to this page, I have to assume that you’re thinking about running a marathon. If so, I’m super excited for you! I am using a marathon training plan for beginners to prepare for my big race, and I’ve been writing weekly posts with updates and tips.

Below you will find links to my tips and reflections on each week of marathon training. I followed the program outlined in the book The Non-Runner’s Marathon Trainer*. The authors of the book are college professors who taught a “marathon course,” and whose students all ran a marathon at the conclusion of the semester. Their belief is that anyone can complete a marathon, if they follow the training plan and techniques taught in their course (and in the book).
