I started this blog back in August of 2008, right before having my first baby. Life has been a whirlwind since then! More babies, houses, moving, jobs, shows, friends, holidays, birthdays, molten chocolate cakes, etc! Well, today we are going to take a look back at the summer of 2007, when my husband and I (along with his mom and brother) visited South Korea!
The inspiration for this post comes from the release of a new design for some Best Buy e-gift cards, celebrating the Lunar New Year. For Asians all around the world, including Asian-Americans, Lunar New Year not only celebrates the beginning of the year but also the ending of winter and the anticipated arrival of spring. It is one of the most important holidays celebrated in countries such as China, Tibet, Korea, and Vietnam. I love that Best Buy recognizes the diversity of their employees and chooses to help them celebrate their culture!
Here is the new card design:
Isn’t it pretty? I thought the same thing when I got to visit Korea. What an amazing experience to travel halfway around the world and get to see a totally different continent! Both Daniel and his brother, Chris, served their missions in Seoul, so they are both fluent in Korean and were able to help us get around!
Here are some of my favorite photos from our trip:
Aren’t those last two with the kids just priceless?! Those are some of my favorite photos of all time.
