That’s what I’m aiming for! I’ve been able to do 30+ consecutively in the past, so I’m hoping to get up to 40 consecutively by the end of the month. I’m good so far!
I’m in-ish, but my definition of “pushup” would make a cat laugh. Also, I got behind, so today, 13th, I’m stuck on 12 and working up. Don’t tell the cat.
I want to know what the definition is! I won’t tell the cat. That’s okay, any way you get your heart pumping is better than doing nothing at all! I’m on track from day 1, but I’m getting nervous! The other day I tried to see how many I could do in a row, and I made it to 26. Hoping I can do 40 by the end of the month!
I can “push-back-from-the-wall”, while standing, but other than that one little vertical detail, my form is great (abs tight, body straight, arms lined up properly). My goal isn’t so much heart rate as upper-body strength, in a sneak-up-on-it, no-shoulder-tension, don’t-wake-up-the-migraine fashion. So far, so good. Also, caught up to 20 today. Yay me!
40 pushups in a row today! As I got past the 30 mark, I noticed my pushups getting just a little shallower, because I was nervous about making it through so many! But last night, when I did 37, I made sure to do them slowly and fully, and I got them all in. My 40 today were a little bit shallow again, but I figure I have two more days of 40 in a row, and on that last day they will be full deep big girl pushups! ;)
I mean, when I got past the 30 mark, meaning on the days when I started to do 30, 32 in a row, not the 30 mark during today’s 40. That will make my last comment make more sense! …hopefully.

I’m in! Do they have to be consecutive?

Whoo hoo! Wall push-ups are awesome. 22 tomorrow! I’m getting nervous for 40 though…
