School is out, and summer is here! Amid the vacations and outdoor activities, I have to assume you and your family plan on copious amounts of binge watching. It’s okay to admit it. As part of Netflix’s Stream Team, I’ve received a free subscription and the opportunity to share with you some awesome shows!
This weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with my husband’s family- 28 people spanning the ages of 18 months-76 years. I took the opportunity to survey everyone and get their current Netflix picks, so whatever your age or gender, you should be able to use this list to make your own Summer Watchlist!
Let’s get to the picks, starting with the babies!
Our baby crowd was represented by Asher, 18 months, twins Ethan and Brynn, 20 months, and Harrison, almost 2. Here are their picks:
Daniel Tiger, Elmo & Friends, and the ever popular “whatever big brother is watching!”
Our next category was our preschoolers, represented by Vanessa, 4, Maeve, 3, and Ryan, 3.
My Little Pony, The Powerpuff Girls, and Super Why!
Our school-age picks were chosen by 3 boys and 3 girls from 2nd grade through 7th grade.
Boys:
Lab Rats, Phineas & Ferb, Wild Kratts, Johnny Test
Girls:
Curious George, Strawberry Shortcake, Sofia the First, and Veggie Tales (and My Little Pony, again)
Our teenage crowd, which ranged from an incoming Freshman to a new high school graduate, chose these:
Dr. Who, Agents of Shield, Once Upon a Time, Full Metal Alchemist, and Psych
The moms and dads represent ages 29-46. Here are the male and female adult picks:
Women:
The Paradise, Chuck, Call the Midwife, Gilmore Girls, Sherlock, American Horror Story, The Killing, The Following, Prison Break, Flashpoint
Men:
Leverage, Daredevil, The Office, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Arrow, Chuck (again) and various stand-up comics (and Gilmore Girls, as one wife shared)
We didn’t have any representatives from the late 40s, 50s, or 60s crowd, but our lovely matriarch, Grandma Ila, choose Murdoch Mysteries as her latest favorite.
Murdoch Mysteries
There you go, summer picks for the whole family. We plan on having a fun, adventure-filled summer, but the lazy afternoons will no doubt be spent enjoying some downtime with our Netflix picks!

You are spot on with the teen picks Megan! My kids love all of those shows. How fun to be on the Stream Team. It was a pleasure meeting you at Elevate this weekend! I did not realize that this is your blog as I have been to it before and love it. Hope you have a great week! :)
Thanks Raquel! I’m pretty sure I’ve been to your blog before too. Definitely going to add it to my favorites now!
