"Yeah, I stopped to get you this box of, uh, seven doughnuts."

by Megan

Let’s have a brief talk about my quote contest…

So far here is the tally:
Mom- 2
Lindsay- 2
Everybody else- 0!

Come on people, it’s not that hard. All you have to do is google the quote! I’m tempted to give Lindsay extra points for her eloquent elaborations, or my mom for knowing the Monkees song off the top of her head, but I’m going to give everyone else a chance to catch up. Maybe I need to decide what the prize will be and post it, to give you a little more incentive. It will be good, okay, especially as you keep those comments coming.

Also, in case you are unaware, you do not have to have a blog to post comments- there is a place to check where you can just put in your first name or whatever.

So to help you out a little, I’m going to post all the previous, non-claimed quotes from previous posts, so you don’t have to go looking for them. First person to comment on this post and answer any or all of these gets points for as many as they answer correctly.

urban spooning- what does that mean?

sit down you’re rocking the sink- this is a take on what song from what musical?

This Ordinary Thursday/I Get to Show You the Ocean- what can you tell me about this album/song? Extra points if you can note the two changes I made in my post and why I made them!

“If I didn’t believe in you
I couldn’t have stood before all of our friends
And said, “This is the life I choose-
This is the thing I can’t bear to lose
Trip us or trap us, but we refuse to fall
That’s what I thought we agreed on…
If I hadn’t believed in you
I wouldn’t have loved you at all”- Song/Musical?

If you come across something else from previous posts, extra points!

And don’t forget the one from this post!

“Sit down your rocking the sink” is a take, I believe, on “Sit down your rocking the boat” from the musical Guys and Dolls. However, this could be way off since I didn’t google it. I thought I would take the chance.

If I didn’t believe in you-the last five years-jrb

P.S. I think you should just quote me, because not only am I totally quotable, then I would totally win! (You know I’m quotable, you quote me all the time.)

HA!- I googled your doughnut quote and the first link that came up was your mom blog. No help there!
