Weekend Rewind

by Megan

Well I officially taught Biology for a week and survived! Honestly, it’s not the content that worries me- it’s the kids! I have five classes, and three of them are basically well-behaved and compliant. I have two others that are borderline. This is the same situation as I had when I taught dance- primarily freshmen, basic-level class, most of them don’t want to be there…

Well at least we have one thing in common.

I really can’t complain about how it’s going so far, and I know it won’t be easy, but I can make it through six more weeks. My biggest problem will probably be the fact that I get painfully tired in the early afternoon. My just-after-lunch class was almost unbearable last week, because I was so close to just falling asleep.

In other news, the weather here has been beautiful, and the kids have been playing outside a LOT. We even went swimming last week, during spring break.

Today we went to a carnival/open house at the school Carter will be attending next year for Kindergarten. He’s growing up!

We had hot dogs, and the kids played games and jumped in the jumping castles. Carter and Vanessa both did the cakewalk game, and they picked two winners, and both of them won!

I am approaching week 27 of pregnancy, so we’re getting closer! I’m now having OB appointments every two weeks, which is a sure sign that it’s coming soon. Everything is going smoothly, just the usual pregnancy complaints. I’m uncomfortable but not unhealthy. Definitely looking forward to cuddling a new little one and taking it “easy” for a while.

How was your week?

Make sure to check back on Tuesday; I’m announcing a brand-new follow hop that I hope you will join!

Until next time…!

8 months ago , my shool mangement asked all students that what will we choose to study? Bio or computer? 85% of our class chose computer to study. Biology is truly a tough subject , for study + for teaching.I really appreciate you :)

I’m a sub also. I would kill for your job!! It seems like I only get third grade and under, and I don’t have the patience for it. I hope my luck changes soon! I did a 8 week job at the Alternative Ed we had for the school district and it was my favorite job ever. I look like a high school kid, so maybe that’s why they were so good for me! Good luck getting over that post-lunch coma state. I remember those, and it’s so hard!
