Another development that we saw while on our trip to Maine was “object permanence.” She was playing with a paper that my mom had, and when my mom took it away, she cried and squealed. As soon as my mom gave it back, she quieted right down! It was so cute!
Vanessa is just a joy! Such a good baby, and so fun to be around!
She also had her first solid food- rice cereal, so exciting!
It seems like Vanessa has grown up a lot lately!
She loves to smile and laugh at her big brother; she plays with her toys and is very good at grabbing objects (and bringing them to her mouth, of course).
She rolls back to front as soon as you put her down on her back, and she can scoot around in a 360 degree circle on her tummy.
She scoots back and forth a bit, which I haven’t really seen her do, but if I put her in the middle of a blanket on the floor, she always ends up completely off it! I think she will be an early crawler. She’s already getting her legs up under her and can get up very high on her hands and toes (at different times).
She gives me the biggest smiles in the morning when I go to get her, and she adores her Daddy.
She is getting more vocal with her babbling, with more of a variety of sounds, and she can blow raspberries.
