Good morning, readers! If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that when we moved, Carter went from being first on the list to go to preschool, to not being able to go at all here. I was disappointed at first, but now I’m excited to find new ways to teach him at home.
I was very excited when I was given the opportunity to review some of Leap Frog’s latest products, in their “Touch Magic” line of toys! Today I’m going to tell you a little about their Touch Magic Learning Bus, which I will definitely use as we prepare Carter for Kindergarten next year.
Today’s toys are progressing right along with technology, and the Touch Magic toys will feel familiar to anyone who uses a smart phone or tablet with a touch screen…such as my 3-year-old!
The Learning Bus is simple to use, but it has lots of fun packed into it! Children can touch each letter to hear the name of the letter, the sound it makes, and a word that starts with that letter. In the game mode, they will be asked to find a letter or the picture under the letter. Sometimes it even makes a sound, and they have to find the picture that makes that sound, such as a wave crashing, for the letter W.
Here is a clip of Carter playing with the Learning Bus:
