The Secret Life of Pets

by Megan

What do your pets do when you’re not home? Well, Universal Studios is answering that question with their new movie, The Secret Life of Pets, opening in theaters on July 8th!

In the meantime, if your kids are as excited about the movie as mine are, you can have fun collecting character keychains inside of General Mills cereals!

The Secret Life of Pets opens July 8th, and now you can collect 6 character keychains in boxes of Cheerios! (ad)

The characters you can collect are:

Max- a terrier mix
Duke- a massive mutt
Snowball- a rabbit
Chloe- a tabby cat
Gidget- a white poodle
and Buddy- a dachshund

We love cereal in our house, and Honey Nut Cheerios are a favorite! We got a Chloe the Tabby Cat keychain in our box…and Harrison enjoyed sharing his Cheerios with her…!

Families who have gluten-sensitivity issues will be happy to know that Honey Nut Cheerios, Multi-Grain Cheerios, and Regular Cheerios are all now gluten-free! With whole grain oats as the first ingredient in all Cheerios (and real honey used to make Honey Nut Cheerios), they are great options for starting your day!

There are 6 collectible Pets characters, so stock up on cereal and see if you can collect them all! I know my kids would love to take them to the movie to “see themselves!”

We love going to the movies over the summer. Daddy is a teacher, so we often take advantage of the early weekday morning movies when it’s less crowded. And since we live in Phoenix…you can’t beat the cool, air conditioned theaters!

And while your own pet might not be featured in the movie, he or she can still be a star with The Secret Life of Pets PetMoji creator!

Starting on July 1st, you can grab a coupon for Cheerios here, so you can get your favorite Cheerios and see which keychain you get!

Will you be seeing The Secret Life of Pets this summer? Make the most of the time you have left- the summer weeks are flying by!

The bunny (Kevin Hart) was by far my favorite character. I thought all the other animals were good too, but the bunny made me laugh the most.
