Thanksgiving Handwriting Worksheets

by Megan

Need to keep the kids entertained while you make Thanksgiving dinner? Why not give them some handwriting practice? But not on just any old handwriting practice paper — on my Thanksgiving handwriting worksheets!

Our alphabet practice paper has been such a hit that I was inspired to create some new handwriting printable packs for the upcoming holidays.

Handwriting practice might not be the most exciting part of the school day, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Younger kids who are just learning to write need a lot of practice to get used to holding their pencil and shaping their letters correctly.

And you’re never too old for handwriting practice. Older kids (or even adults) who need their print to be more legible should practice too!

This handwriting printable pack includes 26 Thanksgiving handwriting worksheets — one page for each letter of the alphabet. Each worksheet includes uppercase and lowercase practice, as well as a fun Thanksgiving-themed word and graphic.

Here’s a look at a few of my favorites:

These worksheets are Fundations-style, which means I’ve included icons on the left-hand side to denote the sky line, plane line, grass line, and worm line. This helps kids know where to start and where to go while forming their letters.

Grab your pack below! It’s just $4 for an instant download and unlimited personal and educational use, and that little bit goes a long way in helping me continue to provide resources for you, so thanks so much!

Tips for Thanksgiving handwriting practice

Thanksgiving handwriting practice is the perfect activity to include throughout November. All of our kids, from our 4-year-old to our 12-year-old, will be using these sheets to improve their handwriting.

  • Keep them entertained while you prepare Thanksgiving dinner, or while they watch the parade.
  • Once they complete these worksheets, put them to task writing place cards.
  • Or they could write up the menu for the big dinner.
  • If they need more practice, have them copy over one of the recipes you’re making.
  • They could also handwrite a story using all of the words from the Thanksgiving handwriting worksheets. The ideas are endless!

We have more holiday-themed handwriting printable packs, which I’ll be writing about soon, but if you want to get a head start, you can head to our shop page and get them all now!

Happy Thanksgiving!
