So many random thoughts. This might have to be in three parts.
I have been having a hard time sleeping, or rather waking up, with a sore neck and back. We inherited our bed when my parents moved, and it was one that I loved to sleep on when I was at their house, because it was so comfy. Well I don’t know what happened, but now I can’t find a good combination/variation of pillows that works for me. Also, I can’t relax. As I’m lying in bed, if I’m paying attention, I can tell that I’m holding lots of tension in my neck and the rest of my body, and I have to force my muscles to relax. What is up with that?
We had the best day on Saturday. I got up early and went running, and then we hung out at home in the morning. After lunch, we went over to the aquatic center here in Surprise, which is basically an elaborate community pool.
There are two water slides, a zero entry section, a whirlpool circle, and lots of fun water features.
We had a great time, and we’ll probably try to go again before they close for the season. I know, right? They CLOSE for the season. In Phoenix. If there was one place in the world where a water park could be open year-round…
We went home for afternoon naps (SO GOOD), and then we headed out to try a new restaurant. We’ve been trying out new restaurants in our new town once a week since we moved, and so far we are 3 for 3! This time we went to Dillon’s BBQ, and it was great! I got a delicious bleu cheeseburger, and the kids got smilie face fries with their meals. Daniel got lots of meat, so he was a happy camper.
After dinner, we walked around the mall a little bit and let the kids play in the play place. That was about as fun as a nightmare. So many children, running everywhere. But they enjoyed it.
I have a few more random things, but Blogger already deleted this entire post once, so I should probably post it before something else goes wrong. Tomorrow we are off to the Phoenix Zoo with Gramma, so expect lots of pictures of kids and animals!
