Today I’m sharing some small master bedroom ideas to make your space comfortable and functional. Start loving your room!
I like the house we live in, but the bedrooms are much smaller than would be ideal. Luckily there are lots of ways you can maximize the space you have.
I’ve been wanting to refresh my master bedroom for a while now. Rather than letting it become a place where I stash my things and eventually fall asleep at night, I wanted it to be a haven. A place of refuge, quiet, calmness, and extreme comfort.
I’d love to share some of my tips for improving one of the most important rooms in your house!

Small Master Bedroom Ideas
1. Eliminate
My first tip, before you start organizing or adding things, is: get rid of 75% of your stuff. Yeah, I said it.
Think about it this way: Would you rather have a clean, airy room with 20 things that you absolutely love, or a stuffed, messy room filled with those same 20 things plus 300 things you are ambivalent about or don’t use? Consider eliminating anything that you can bear to part with.
Getting rid of excess stuff is the first and probably most important step to creating a space you love. Imagine not having to deal with overstuffed drawers or piles of paper.
Keep the things you love, eliminate everything else, and you’ll be happier!

I need to clean and organize and purge our room so bad! It’s awful!
I love those new Kleenex boxes! Those would go great in my home and out of home office space – liven it up a little bit!
Great ideas! When I updated our master bedroom (which is also small) I just flat out had to get rid of a lot of things and find ways to organize better! Thanks again for the awesome tips.
