Shower Them With Love

I’m definitely not the best mom that ever was. I get impatient, I yell sometimes, I’ve even (gasp) spanked. I let them watch too much TV and eat too many sweets.

But I shower my kids with love. I play peek-a-boo, I kiss ow-ies, I throw them up in the air or “fly” them on my feet. I say, “I’m gonna get you,” and make them giggle.

I’m with them first thing in the morning, late at night, and most of the in between time!

I read them books, play pretend, teach them songs. We have regular dance parties in the living room.

I look them in the eye and let them see that they are important. I hold them tight and let them feel that they are wanted.

Oh boy, are they wanted!

And soon there will be more to love.
