Shaping Up For Summer: A New Low

by Megan
shaping up for summer

If you checked in last week, you saw that I hit my lowest weight in over 5 years, at 163.4. Here is this week’s weigh in…

161.4!!!

I lost two whole pounds this week! Okay, so I was VERY sick this week, and I know that helped out a lot. I think I may have had 2-3 meals over the course of 3-4 days. But hey, I’ll take it!

I know I’ll need to work extra hard over the next week or two to keep that loss and push past it, but just hitting a number that I have not seen in years is so motivating, and I feel so good about it! I am almost in the 150s!

Four weeks from today is my 30th birthday, and I’m going into my 30s in the best shape I’ve been in, since my early 20s! Even though I’m not going to make my goal of 130 by my birthday, I’m still very excited to be where I’m at. And it doesn’t stop here.

When I got pregnant at 23, I weighed 138. At 9 months pregnant, I was 189. 14 weeks after having Carter, I had dropped 40 pounds, weighing in at 149 (yes, I have blog posts back that far, yes I have been blogging since the dawn of time, yes that will be a very awkward post since it is so old…). That was the lowest I got. After that my weight bounced back, and I gained much of what I had lost and then got pregnant again about a year and a half later.

So it is beyond thrilling that I’ve now lost about 60 pounds since having Harrison, and I’m just going to keep working hard! I’m actually on track for my 15 pound challenge! I’ll have to hit it hard in May and June to keep the momentum going and look fantastic for our vacation in July!

Okay, so I’ve failed at taking photos lately, so here’s one last lovely one from Little Nell:

WOW! Congratulations on reaching your weight goal, though I hope you feel better soon. It’s fun to look back on old blog posts :) I’ve been blogging for a year now and it’s fun to look back to earlier posts.

12 more days til the half marathon – training is going really well and I’m enjoying our warmer weather these days!

Great loss! How exciting to be that close to the 150s :)

Hope you are feeling better now! Being sick is the worst – I think my whole house was sick for Feb & March.
