Shaping Up For Summer: Measurements

by Megan

Thanks so much to those of you who joined me last week and linked up your posts! I love reading about what everyone is doing to get into shape- very inspiring!

shaping up for summer

Well it is late Friday night, and I am super tired, but there is a birthday party to be had tomorrow, so I have miles to go presents to wrap and princess favors to put together before I sleep.

This week I promised measurements, so here they are! This is the first time I’ve taken my measurements in quite a while, and definitely the first time since losing the baby weight. See, now that the baby weight is done and gone, I feel like I’m at a second starting point (or was, about 10 pounds ago). No more freebie pounds are going to drop off! From here on out, it’s up to me and what I do each day to reach my long-term goals.

Measurements:

Bust: 42
R Upper arm: 13
L Upper arm: 13
R Bicep: 11.5
L Bicep: 11.75
Waist: 35.5
Abdomen: 42
Hips: 41.5
R Thigh: 20
L Thigh: 20.5
R Calf: 14.25
L Calf: 14

So there you go. I guess now you can go make a pretty accurate sculpture of me (since of course you clearly want to do that).

Weight this week has stayed the same. It’s my own fault. My willpower is not strong. That is why I started this series. NOW is the time to be thinking about summer. In fact it’s already shorts weather here in Phoenix!

I leave for Maine in a little over 4 months. About 18 weeks. If I lost a pound and a half each week, I would be within 5 pounds of my pre-pre-pre-pregnancy weight (before my first).

It is within my grasp. I just have to decide that I want it badly enough.

I am a mere 4.5 pounds away from the lightest I’ve been in five years. Talk about close.

I can do it, and so can you. Let’s rock the last week in February!

I agree you can do it. It’s all about small consistent changes, I’ve been there!! It’s not always as fast as we want, but long term change is the best!
