Today I’m excited to share with you part two of my Leap Frog Touch Magic toy review! Part one (the Learning Bus) can be found here.
Leap Frog sent us the Rockin Guitar, and our house has definitely been rockin!
I just adore this toy. You probably know that my husband is a music teacher, and we are both heavily into the performing arts, so music is big around here! We both play guitar (proof), and so Carter has grown up around them. Now he is excited to have his own that he can “really play!”
The Touch Magic toys are so fun and so easy to use. They work like a touch screen (and if your kids are like mine, they know how to use those!), so all you have to do is “strum” along with the songs that play. As long as your fingers are moving across the strings, you will hear the guitar sound along with the song. If you stop, the guitar sound stops!
There are also lots of fun buttons, including one that makes a slide sound, one that adds percussion, and one that produces applause! You can also hold another button down to change the guitar sound from acoustic to electric, and another button mutes the singer, so you can do a guitar solo!
Super easy and fun! Just watch:
I’m not going to lie; I kind of enjoy playing the Rockin Guitar myself! Even Vanessa has fun playing with it. She is only 18 months, but she watches everything that big brother does, and she’s getting pretty good at strumming the guitar!
If you are looking for the perfect present for a little boy or girl, this is it! They will have tons of fun rocking out to the 10 different songs! The various buttons provide endless combinations of musical sounds, and kids will have fun experimenting and making their own music. Also, the Rockin Guitar closely emulates a real guitar in the placement of the buttons and the strumming action, so playing helps kids develop the coordination to handle a real instrument someday!
One more video before we go. Vanessa kind of “videobombed” this one…
Thanks for reading, and rock on!
