It’s May!! And three weeks from tomorrow is my 30th birthday. Here’s Justin, to welcome you to the new month.
How do you sum up a decade? Life-changing? In my 20s I met my husband, graduated from college, moved cross-country, got married, bought a house, and had three kids.
Here’s a look back at some of the big events that took place over the last ten years:
May 23rd, 2004: I had my 20th birthday, in the Bahamas!
June 5th, 2004: I met my husband, when I picked him up at the airport for a summer of working together.
October 23rd, 2004: Baptized into the LDS church.
December 31st, 2004: Engaged!
May 21st, 2005: Graduated from the University of New Hampshire
August 2005: Moved cross country, to Arizona!
October 29th, 2005: Married!
December 2005: Honeymoon in Hawaii
May 2006: Moved from Tucson to St. David, where Daniel started his first professional teaching job
Summer 2006: Cross country road trip (Kirtland, Maine, Washington DC, Palmyra, Nauvoo)
Spring/Summer 2007: Trips to Boston, Salt Lake City, Korea, Maine, NYC, and Atlantic City
December 2007: Found out I was pregnant with Carter, trip to Maine and NYC (Times Square for New Years)
August 6th, 2008: Started a blog ;)
August 29th, 2008: Carter born!
December 2008: Trip to San Antonio
May 2009: Bought our first house
Summer 2009: Cross country road trip (Memphis, Nashville, Scranton, Maine, NYC, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, Cleveland)
February 2010: Trip to Orlando
February 2011: Vanessa born!
July 2011: Trip to Maine
June 2012: Trips to Disneyland and Mexico
July 28th, 2012: Moved to Surprise
August 25th, 2012: Completed my first half marathon
June 27th, 2013: Harrison born!
May 23rd, 2014: My 30th birthday (coming soon)!
There were lots of other trips, lots of music, lots of theatre, and lots of fun!
Will I find myself here in another 10 years, doing a recap of my thirties? I guess you’ll have to stick around and find out!
