This delicious game day recipe, using Mars Milky Way Bites, is part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias® and the #GameDayBites campaign. Don’t miss out on the awesome coupon below!
I may live in Arizona, but I am a New England girl at heart. If you don’t know too much about New Englanders, let me sum it up for you: we call dinner “suppah,” we complain about the snow and eat beef stew in the winter and we complain about the humidity and have “cookouts” in the summer, we are used to driving through blizzards and losing all of our money to the toll booths, and we love our Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots!
I was a junior in high school the season that Tom Brady took over as quarterback for the New England Patriots, when Drew Bledsoe got injured. I watched as they dominated the Miami Dolphins in an epic game during a blizzard, and I cheered as Kevin Vinatieri kicked the last-second field goal that won the Patriots the Super Bowl.
Football season is again upon us, and even though we are way out on the west coast, we can still cheer on our Patriots at my parents’ house. With their DirectTV service, they get all the games!
But what is a football game without great food? Today I’m sharing with you a recipe for a perfect Game Day snack, using Mars Milky Way Bites!
Mars Milky Way Bites
Tiny Twist/Mini Pretzels
York Pieces (or M&Ms, or another topping in your team’s colors)
Before I go on with the recipe instructions, I need to share this awesome coupon with you! It’s good for both the Mars Milky Way and Snickers Bites. You can instantly print a $0.25 off coupon for the smaller size, or a $1.00 off coupon for the larger size, or if you register and share the coupons with your friends, they will double to $0.50 off and $2.00 off! Price may vary in different locations, but let’s just say that with the $2.00 off coupon, my large bag cost very little!
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 270 degrees F.
Step 2: Lay out 40 mini pretzels on a cookie sheet.
Step 3: Place one Milky Way Bite on the center of each pretzel.
Step 4: Put the cookie sheet with the pretzels and Milky Way Bites in the oven for 3 minutes.
Step 5: Take the sheet out of the oven and, while still hot, press a York Piece (or M&M) into the center of the Milky Way Bites.
Step 6: Put the treats into the refrigerator so they will get cold and the chocolate solid.
Step 7: When you are ready to enjoy them, take them out of the fridge and EAT!
WARNING: These treats are so delicious, you literally may not be able to stop yourself from eating all of them. The combination of sweet and salty with a hint of mint is to die for.
Good luck to your teams this football season!
But just so you know, Patriots are 4 and 0.
