No Guilt Friday

by Megan

Is there anything better than a Friday evening when you have no plans on Saturday?

Find the answer here.

Haha, love that site!

So no. Unless it’s 9pm and everyone in your house is asleep except for you, giving you lots of valuable time to organize your browser’s bookmarks.

Ahh. I love organizing things. Now my bookmarks are very neat and clean.

It was actually last Friday that the term “no guilt Friday” entered my head. I was lying around being very unproductive, and I just didn’t care. And I didn’t care that I didn’t care. No guilt.

Well let’s talk about weight loss, or lack thereof. This week has been bad for weight loss. I didn’t gain anything, but I’m stuck again. It probably has something to do with the fact that even though I’m still off sugar (41 days and counting), I have not been careful enough about the other things that I’m eating.

That’s all going to change as I start the 12 in 12 challenge in a week, through Revolt Fitness. I’m excited because I think this will be the motivation I need to power through the next three months and see some major results. I haven’t been super consistent in August, but now that Carter is well established in Kindergarten, and I have a relatively reliable schedule (you never know when that baby is going to sleep!), I think September will be better.

Oh. So. True.

I had a goal to lose 10 pounds in August, and I was down 5 or 6 at the halfway mark. With just one week to go, I’m down 7 pounds. Not sure if I’ll make my goal, but if I could lose 1 or 2 more, I’d call it a win!

One of my September goals is going to be to get up early to do my workouts. I love the Revolt workouts because they are short and to-the-point. No messing around, but you’re done in about 20 minutes! We have a great morning routine going, and I would just have to get up at 6am to do my workout first. That’s not THAT early.

I drive Carter to school every morning, and sometimes that puts Harry to sleep. If that is the case, he will usually nap in his car seat long enough for me to work out. But if he doesn’t fall asleep in the car, he doesn’t have a regular time that he takes a morning nap. So I never know when I will be able to fit in my workout, and I get less motivated and more distracted as the day goes on.

Well, it’s now 9:45pm, and I think I should join the rest of the family and go to bed. Clearly I am 87.

Here’s to No Guilt Saturday.

Great job on the weight loss this month Megan. Even if you don’t hit your goal .. it’s still a huge accomplishment.

I can totally relate! My kids don’t go back to school until after Labor Day so everyday there is no real schedule and I always forget to workout. Ugh. I can’t wait to get back to my schedule & have a set day/time to workout! -Monika

Even if you don’t get to the 10 pound mark you are still doing great! Weight loss is hard! Good job, Mama!
