Maine Trip

by Megan

This month, we traveled to Maine along with my parents and sister, for a glorious week on the beach in my hometown! I hadn’t been home in over two years, and I probably won’t be back for at least as long, so we filled the week to the brim with activities, family and friends, and delicious Maine food! Here is the week in pictures (many more on my facebook page)

Vanessa being difficult on the plane

Getting Dunkin Donuts before exiting Logan Airport

Our beach house

Making the walk to the beach that I made for my whole childhood

Carter with his great Auntie Bling-Bling

Vanessa’s first taste of Alex’s Pizza

Carter enjoying a true Maine treat: a whoopie pie!

Vanessa enjoying the rocking bench on our porch

Carter riding the rides at Palace Playland- he LOVED the trucks!

Me and Daniel riding the Matterhorn, which we did back when we first met

Holding hands

PIER FRIES WITH VINEGAR

The whole reason for the trip

Candy store- not actually Canada

Kids getting ready for bed before another fun day!

Where Vanessa spent most of her time on the beach- in our shady canopy!

Carter had so much fun in the sand and ocean!

Dinner with family

Touring a lighthouse- after our tour two years ago was canceled, we finally made it back!

Climbing to the top

View from the boat- could be a Maine postcard!

My parents took Carter on the Downeaster train- a highlight for him!

Fun in the sand!

More fun on the rides

We all fell asleep on Daddy on the long plane ride home!

Such a fun trip!

I am jealous. Glad it was all you hoped it would be.
