This year, as a Christmas present, Gramma gave both Carter and Vanessa tickets for LEGO KidsFest and a special night out! The event wasn’t until February, but both kids counted down the days until it was their turn to go experience LEGO paradise!
Carter got to go first, and he and Gramma had lots of fun checking out the various exhibits and activities.
Carter loves The Lego Movie (even had a Lego Movie birthday party!), and so he was excited to meet these giant Lego versions of the movie’s stars!
And some Star Wars characters! He just happened to be wearing his “Darth Gator” shirt.
And the Cardinals’ mascot, Big Red, was there being totally silly. He threw his shoe at Carter, like a football!
Always quick to make friends, Carter helped these boys build their Lego invention.
Speaking of being quick to make friends, Carter went up to this Master Builder and asked him what he made. The Master Builder walked him over to this tiger, which he built!
The next day it was Vanessa’s turn! Gramma said that while Carter bounced around from place to place, Vanessa stayed longer at her favorite exhibits- mostly building with Duplos and the LEGO Friends.
It was cute to see which of the exhibits both kids enjoyed. They both had a turn creating a piece of Lego art, and they both took part in the Lego pizza relay!
Both kids had an awesome time at Lego KidsFest, and they can’t wait to go back again next year!
