Kitty and Veterinarian Halloween Costumes

by Megan

One of the fun things about having little kids is dressing them up for Halloween! This year, Vanessa and Carter are going as a kitty and her veterinarian.

Disclaimer: The “veterinarian” costume is just a doctor costume, but with the kitty by his side, it’s clear what he’s supposed to be!

This is the first year that Carter has expressed an interest in dressing up as something specific for Halloween. For the past three years, we (“we” being my mom and me) dressed him up however we wanted.

This year, Carter wanted to be a ghost. When I asked him how to make a ghost costume, he said, “You just cut two holes for the eyes.” Clearly he has been watching “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and therefore thinks that dressing up as a ghost for Halloween is just what you do.

Well, I decided to dress Vanessa in a kitty costume, because she loves kitties so much, and I thought she’d get a kick out of seeing herself as a kitty!

Then my mom went online and found Carter an adorable doctor costume and decided to talk him into being an “aminal doctor.” It wasn’t difficult to convince him, especially after she purchased a huge toy doctor’s kit.

Dr. Carter! HA! Made me think of my 1990’s teenage obsession with ER. Very sweet.
