Recently I wrote about my 7 year plan, and how my latest daydream is of the time when my kids will be in school, and I can work from home during the day. Part of that daydream is having my very own office space, whether it’s a corner of my bedroom, or a whole room to myself! Today I thought I’d share some home office ideas and elements of my ideal office space.
Home Office Ideas
This office would be my space for blogging, as well as for my job where I do bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative tasks. Just the thought of organizing an office space gets my heart pumping with excitement (I like to organize)!
1. The Desk
First you have to have the right desk, and isn’t this one the cutest?! I like that it’s simple, but has just enough style to enjoy. How could you not be inspired while using this desk? Plenty of room for a laptop and many, many notepads!

2. The Chair
The chair has to be comfy, and it has to have wheels! If it matches the desk, that’s great, but I’m going to be sitting in it for hours on end, so comfort is the first priority!

3. The Organization
File cabinets can be functional and stylish, like this one that matches the desk! It’s the perfect surface for my printer/scanner/copier, and it can keep my files organized in the bottom drawer and supplies in the top drawer.

A simple desktop organizer would be something that I would use every single day. I have multiple sites that I run now, and it would be perfect to have a spot for each site, to keep all of my current notes and documents handy.

4. The Decorations

5. The Details
It’s the little things that turn a work space into your space. Keep the clutter to a minimum and only display and use items that you truly love.
