HELP ME!

by Megan

Okay, now that I have your attention…

It’s time to return to this blog’s roots and start “shaping up to be a mom” (third time, third time!).

That’s right, it’s time for fitness, nutrition, weight loss, and getting back to my pre-baby body!

pre-babies body

Problem is, I don’t know where to start. There are so many schools of thought out there, so many programs, so many products, that I don’t know what to try.

Shakes? Those companies that sell shake mix as meal replacements? I have a friend who was very successful using those.

The It Works wraps? Anyone sell those and want to send me a sample? If they actually “work” as the name suggests, I could use about 50 of them!

Calorie counting? Train for a marathon?

Any weight loss/fitness apps that are outstanding?

So what have you tried and loved? What do you recommend? What has worked for you?

Love it? Share it!

I did Medifast a few years ago and lost weight. Then promptly gained it back. I tried doing it again but it is so hard once you get away from it. This time, I’m counting calories (I love myfitnesspal app and website) and working out – walking/running (c25k and mapmyfitness), popsugar fitness has great short workout videos, Jillian’s Shred. It’s hard but I’m down 35 pounds and feel great. I think if you’ve made up your mind and are mindful, you will be successful! :)

You just had a baby. Slow down friend. I know you are ready for your body back and that’s not a bad thing. If you are breast feeding then check out weight watchers. They have a program for nursing mothers. I you are not BF then weight watchers is good anyway. My aunt lost 70 lbs on the program!! Hang in there! You are beautiful.

The thing that works for me the best is counting calories, my fitness pal is how I track them. I also walk as my exercise of choice. Violet is 16 months and my body is worse than right after she was born! I can help keep you accountable if you help me lol

Just had my 3rd 8 weeks ago. I started the Couch to 5K app on my iphone 2 weeks ago. Its working so far. I also started Plexus Slim. Its a fruity tasting drink you take when ever you like, once a day, and a pill. That’s it. I used it after my 2nd and lost about 30lbs. I am hoping it works that well again. And I didn’t gain it all back when I stopped either. Take it slow and as long as you are committed anything you do will help. I have heard great things about the 30day shred by Jillian Michaels..check it out on YouTube!

I’ve been using the Revolt Now fitness program, it is a diet and exercise program, and it’s designed for busy people with a lot on their plate. I know that a lot of participants have had HUGE results, and it has definitely done wonders for my fitness capacity. If you want to check it out, it’s at http://www.revoltnowfitness.com =)

My Fitness Pal really helped focus myself not just on my calorie intake but also how much sugar I was eating…that stuff is in everything!! Good Luck
