Tonight I held my baby boy in front of our Christmas tree and told him, “Harry, this will be your first Christmas!”
I showed him the colored lights and told him about how he is younger than all the ornaments on our tree. I showed him the silver bell which is the oldest ornament. Older than his mom. Older than his gramma!
Then I told him about how Christmas is all about another little baby boy, just like him.
Then I wrapped him up in a soft, warm blanket and we snuggled on the couch.
Ohh. This does not get old. Even with baby number three; I think it just gets better.
Little children are so so close to Heaven.
Harry, this will be your first Christmas.
We got you a teddy bear, a soft book, a baby book, an activity bouncer, and a towel that looks like a crab.
But the best thing we’ll give you is love. So. Much. Love.
To pay you back for all the love you’ve brought into our lives.
Merry Christmas, Harry.
