There’s nothing like a craft day and, when Halloween is coming up, there’s nothing like a fun and SPOOKY craft day!
Last time I showed you all the fun Halloween foods we made, and today I’ll share the fun Halloween crafts we made this year!

The first one is my favorite: Vampire Pumpkins!
Vampire Pumpkins
I pinned these vampire pumpkins a while back and gave it a go this year while my bestie Cynthia was visiting.
We bought the vampire teeth at a party store, for 99 cents a pair, and the pumpkins we found at Michaels. We used the little carving knives from a pumpkin carving kit, and carved out a small section for the teeth. Once that was done, all we had to do was insert the teeth and add some eyes! I used red straight pins for my eyes.
Cynthia’s vamps were a little more flamboyant.
The thing I like best about this craft is that I can easily store these little guys and bring them out again every year!
Footprint Ghosts
The next thing we did was what everybody and their mom also did:
I love the footprint ghosts, because if we do it every year, we can see how the kids have grown! I wrote the kids’ names and the year in small lettering along the side of the “ghosts.” Apparently Carter has a major arch, and Vanessa is flat footed!
Handprint Spiders
Carter also did a handprint spider. He felt no need to have the eyes actually attached to said spider. Vanessa did NOT want her hands painted, so she sat out for this craft.
And the last thing we did was, of course, pumpkin carving!
Pumpkin Carving
Carter got these two little ones, and he wanted one to be sad and one to be happy. Or maybe he said good and bad. I’m not sure, but we ended up making one sad and one mean. He chose the shapes, and I did the carving.
I carved the big pumpkin, using a pattern I found online.
What do you think? I won a pumpkin carving contest with it, at our Trunk-Or-Treat! Full disclosure, nobody else entered. But hey, I got a $5 Sonic gift card! I will enjoy some cheesy tots because of that pumpkin.
Super full disclosure, this is the second time I’ve won a pumpkin carving contest where I was the only entrant. Where my pumpkin-carvers at?!
