Halloween 2015

by Megan

Every year our kids have done matching Halloween costumes: Steve and Blue, Vet and Kitty, Phineas, Isabella and Perry, and Dorothy, Scarecrow, and Tin Man. This was the first Halloween that they wanted to do their own thing, and we let them!

Carter wanted to be a taekwondo master, or at least an orange belt (which is what he is)! That was the hands-down easiest costume EVER. He already had the whole outfit!

Pretty cool that he ended up earning his orange belt just before Halloween (because it’s a Halloween color). He will hopefully earn his green belt just before Christmas!

Vanessa wanted to be Disgust from Inside Out, so I ordered her costume online awhile back. My mom got her some green leggings, and I bought the purple flats. The dress was much too long originally, but it was super easy to cut to her knee. I think she looked super cute!

She loved posing and being “disgusting!”

And Harry, well, he’s still a little young to choose his own costume, which is great because my mom and I were dying to dress him up like Prince George!

Harrison and HRH George are just a few weeks apart in age, and Harry has the blonde hair and adorable face, so obviously he had to go as the tiny royal for Halloween!

Which one is the real little prince? Pay no attention to Prince William. #spoilers

And since Daniel and I attended a Halloween costume party at the BeachesMoms Social Media on the Sand conference, we had to have costumes too! Daniel was thrilled that I was willing to “go nerd” with him, and we dressed up as Rose and the tenth Doctor from Doctor Who!

Yeah…nobody at the party got it. At all. But that’s okay because we posted it on social media and plenty of our teenaged students said we were #goals.

We went trick-or-treating on Halloween night, but the little prince didn’t nap during the day, so he slept through it!

My favorite part of the night was when Carter exclaimed, “Worst Kit Kat ever, only one bar!” Then he proceeded to sort it into its own pile, separate from the Kit Kats with two bars. #candyshaming

I hope you all had a fantastic Halloween and are still on a sugar high! May your Kit Kats always have at least two bars…

Thanks! Yeah, I can only assume that Prince George went as Harrison for Halloween.
