Half-Baked, and It’s A…

by Megan

BOY!

We had our ultrasound on Wednesday, and we brought both kids. It was more about the fact that we didn’t have a babysitter than wanting them to experience seeing the baby, but still.

As soon as the tech started the ultrasound, we saw the little guy all folded up, with his legs up against his tummy, and his feet in his face. At one point he even kicked himself in the nose! She showed us the view from his bottom and said, “You’ve having a…” In the pause before she said, “boy,” I thought… “Definitely looks like a boy to me!” Sure enough, I was seeing what I thought I was seeing.

Both kids were given blue foot lollipops in celebration of their little brother!

So there you have it. Baby #3 is a little boy! I would have been equally excited either way, since this is a tiebreaker and we plan on one more. Of course, next time I’m sure I’ll be hoping for a girl, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Our little guy- I’ll spare you the one of his unmentionables.

Pregnancy is going well. I’m definitely in the not-sick-but-not-yet-big-as-a-house, more comfortable middle phase, but I’m still looking forward to the end! Hopefully the next 20 weeks will fly by. Once the end of the school year comes, I’ll just have one month left!

Name ideas: Matthew, Preston, Harrison, Gavin, and Devin. Thoughts?

Congrats! We know we’re having one girl, but our other twin didn’t cooperate on the last ultrasound – hopefully we’lll find out for sure at our next one on Monday. If we want to keep our family “even” we’d like a boy and a girl, but I’ll take two girls over two boys any day!
