Friends, fashion, home decor, prizes, food…
That’s not just a list of things that are awesome (though it clearly IS). It’s also a good description of the event we “valley bloggers” (that’s the Phoenix valley) had at the brand-new DownEast Home & Clothing Store in Gilbert!
I picked up Megan (And Here’s To You, Mrs. Robinson) on the way, and we had a good time on the hour-long car ride to the other side of the valley, chatting about our favorite bloggers. ;)
When we got there, we were treated so nicely by the staff, who gave us gift bags and showed us around. I was just enthralled by all the lovely things they had, but of course I was immediately drawn to the clothing section!
You can read Megan’s post here, and she’ll tell you how she made one of the poor workers continually undress and redress a mannequin so that she could try on the tiny clothes, which she then didn’t buy because they were “too big.” Then she had to go and win a free shirt! Last time I take that girl anywhere… Haha, just kidding!
I took a long time deciding what to get, but I settled on this lovely jewelry box for my little girl. She got it for her birthday this week (more about that tomorrow!). She loves it!
I already loved DownEast Basics (their clothing stores), but now I can add DownEast Home to one of my must-visit-regularly stores. They offer DownEast furniture and clothing, as well as name brand home decor, furnishings, and apparel (at 40-90% off national prices). For you locals, the store is in the San Tan Shopping Center, 2697 South Market Street in Gilbert. I highly recommend stopping by!
