We spent Labor Day weekend up in Payson, Arizona with Daniel’s family. 11 adults and 13 children crammed into two houses. I don’t know what we are going to do as the family grows even larger!
On Sunday afternoon, Vanessa fell asleep for about 30 minutes, but then was up in her pack and play. I knew she hadn’t slept enough, so I put her in her carseat and drove around the neighborhood for about 5 minutes, playing classical music, until she was fast asleep.
I drove over to the library, at the park, and parked there and read my book for almost a full hour! At that point, she was still asleep, but I was bored.
It had been raining off and on, and I looked out my windshield to see a beautiful rainbow.
Then I remembered something on my bucket list- chase a rainbow.
So we did!
I started the car back up and, along with my sleeping baby, chased that rainbow, looking for the end. We drove into a couple of neighborhoods until we hit a dead end, and then we drove down the same road I ran my 8-miler on a few months ago.
We turned onto a side road that went up a hill, and from there I could see the rainbow disappear behind a mountain. That was good enough for me, so we headed home.
Chase a rainbow

What a good little girl you have sleeping so well during her nap! And that little adventure sounded like fun, I love rainbows. :)
Sounds like a fun adventure! And an hour of book reading sounds heavenly!
What a pretty rainbow! :)
Our family loves rainbows, and have ‘chased’ them many times, glad to know we are not the only ones <3
