An Evening at Medieval Times

by Megan

Medieval Times has just unveiled a brand-new show! It’s an evening of knights, horses, royalty, and a whole lot of good food. Let the tournament begin!

We were given tickets to the new Medieval Times show in exchange for sharing our experience. Read on to hear how it went!

Our latest stop on our year of travel was Orlando! Technically we stayed in Groveland, Florida, where my parents recently moved, but their house is just a quick half hour drive to Orlando and all of the fun and excitement that comes with it!

One evening we all headed to Medieval Times for dinner and a show. We’ve been to other Medieval Times locations in the past, and it’s become a family favorite!

Our littlest was thrilled to be having dinner in a “real castle!” And when she found out she got to wear a crown, too, she was really living her best life!

We were on Team Yellow Knight, so after entering the arena and being shown to our seats, we got ready to cheer for our hero!

For the first time in Medieval Times’ 35-year history, a Queen has taken the throne! Her Majesty Dona Maria Isabella presides over the tournament of knights who gather in celebration to test their skill against one another in a series of games, jousting, and combat.

The story unfolds before you, accompanied by a sweeping musical score and brilliant lights. The meal is served throughout the night, in several courses, as you enjoy the show.

As the knights complete challenges, they are given flowers to throw to their admirers. Our knight threw one to Vanessa, and she caught it!

As part of the story, Queen Dona Maria Isabella welcomes all as her guests and a feast is served! And what a feast it is! Everything is meant to be eaten with your hands as in…medieval times! And everything is SO GOOD!

We started with tomato soup and garlic bread, which was followed by a roast chicken, baked potato, and corn-on-the-cob. Later on, they brought us ice cream with caramel sauce. There are several beverages to choose from, and they also have a cash bar. We all ate very well- everything was delicious!

Medieval Times is running a fantastic promotion where you can see the new show and enjoy the feast for just $37 per person! That’s half of the regular cost and a great deal because it includes all of the amazing food and the impressive show!

Be sure to mention or enter “USF37” as the promotional code. Enjoy your visit to the castle and traveling back to Medieval Times!
