36 weeks

by Megan

Here we are. Four more weeks!

I am SO READY to have this baby. I have two friends who were due after me, who already have induction dates, before my due date! Unfair much?

I have a regular appointment this Friday, and then next Friday I will have an ultrasound (my 7th of this pregnancy!) and another regular appointment, and that’s when they’ll decide if we are going to set an induction date or just wait it out.

I’m going to push for the induction (no pun intended) even if we schedule it for right around my due date. I just don’t want to go late this time. I went late with both of my other babies (over 41 weeks with Vanessa), and both of them were over 9 pounds. So yeah.

Carter- August 2008
Vanessa- February 2011

My due date is officially July 2nd (though it was changed from July 11th early on), and so I’m hoping for June 26th. That would be 39 weeks and one day, and I have an event I have to be at on the 25th, so that would be ideal.

In other news……..

We got a house! I’m glad that I inquired about this house when I did, because we got to see it first, and the property manager told us that there were 15 people on a waiting list after us. So we jumped on it, and it’s ours (to rent) as of July 1st! It is a half-mile from the high school where Daniel works, and it’s less than three miles from Carter’s school (he starts on July 31st!). It’s a corner lot in a cul-de-sac, significantly larger than the house we are currently in (with an extra bedroom, which was really the only requirement), and it’s got a huge covered patio in the back!

I’m actually not one of those people who hates to move. I love it! Packing is a type of organizing, which I love, so that’s fun for me. Then you get to bring everything to a new house and figure out how you’re going to arrange each room, and then you get to decorate a new space. Super fun. I’m excited.

So June will be spent going through our belongings, purging everything that we don’t need to bring along with us to the new house and also getting ready for the baby to be here! No big deal.

I actually enjoy packing as well … simply because I can get organized! I love being organized. Congrats on the house!!

And hoping your little one comes earlier than later!

I don’t mind moving, I just don’t like the packing. And I’m so tired. I don’t want to move. I want to stay on my behind all day. Day to day cleaning is too much. good luck on an early delivery. Sounds like we’ll be doing the same thing this summer, except you’ll be doing it a lot further along than myself.

I hate moving and I hate packing but I’m glad you like it! It’s easier to get things done when you enjoy them. June 28 is our wedding anniversary, a great day to be born :)
