I joined the #1800MinuteChallenge, which is basically a challenge to move for 30 minutes a day, in April and May. I’ve been sucking at it. Okay, so in the first 12 days of April, so far I’ve only done 4 sessions of 30 minutes of intentional exercise. But I have done 7 shows so far, where I’m on my feet for about 90 minutes… I wasn’t sure if I should count that, but as more days went by, and I hadn’t done my 30 minutes, I thought I probably should!
I set some goals for April, and we COULD revisit them, but I didn’t do so well this past week. Okay fine, here they are:
- Hit the gym at least twice a week- YES!
- Zumba at least once a week- No!
- Run 30+ minutes at least 3 times per week- Once!
- Drink 3 water bottles each day- I think I had A bottle of water on ONE day…
Weigh-in: 164.0! That’s a new recent low. I was so hoping that today would be the day I would get under 163.8, my lowest in five years, but definitely next week! I’m trying to hit 160 by the end of the month, so I’m being very careful about food!
How was your week? Did you meet your fitness goals? Link up and let me know!

Well if I’m not too late to join that challenge, I just might. I wouldn’t even be behind :) I guess you could say I’m a little addicted to exercise, and being a SAHM with the kids in school and a gym in the basement. Well … I get in quite a bit. I’ve been loving Zumba too, going three times a week and just looking into adding another session (we’ll see if that works out). I was keeping a “streaks” calendar of my 60minutes of elliptical a day. I did that every day in February, missed one day in March (and still did 40minutes that day), and so far have 60 minutes+ every day in April. The Elliptical is my TV time, if I want to watch, I have to workout. May not be the best quality workout, but I’m definitely getting in the quantity.
Thanks for the link up!
I think the fact that you are motivated and going for it says a lot! You are doing a lot more than many people and every little bit helps…your heart! :)
Congrats on your progress! Love the morning run picture – it looks so pretty where you live (and warm!!!). Thanks for hosting this link-up :)
Some activity is better than none! Great job reaching your recent low weight.
